Our Projects
Calico Cutters Quilt Guild is honored to participate in the following charitable activities:
VA Hospitals: Men's and Women's clothing closets donations
Monetary donation to The Chester County Domestic Violence Center with proceeds from our bi-annual raffle quilt and auction. Also provide the Center with over 100 quilts annually to give to every child in their program.
Head Start Program - Donation August 2007 of 130 fully supplied, hand-made book bags to the Chester County Head Start Program.
Donation of over 100 Baby Bundles containing handmade receiving blankets, onesies, and baby toiletries to Jennersville Hospital in southern Chester County for distribution to needy families.
Hat and Scarf Project - 140 sets of hand made hats and scarves, for the Upper Darby Homeless Shelter.
ConKerr Cancer Project - Donation September 2007 of over 1700 hand-made pillowcases for pediatric oncology patients in area hospitals. More than 300 donated again in September 2008.
Paoli Hospital - Donation October 2007 and again in 2008 of over 400 pink pillowcases for breast cancer patients center.
Quilts of Valor - Patriotic quilt donations dedicated to presenting a red, white and blue quilt to all wounded soldiers. Ongoing effort - monthly donations are welcome.
Fair Acres Geriatric Center - Donation of walker caddies, adult bibs and BINGO prizes to the .
Chester County Habitat for Humanity - Recent donation of 37 wall hangings for their annual fundraising auction. Notecards featuring the wall hangings are available for sale at guild meetings or by e-mailing waysandmeans@calicocutters.com
